As the New Year begins, many of us have made a decision to improve our health and fitness. While it’s good to have specific health and fitness goals in mind, people often go to great lengths to achieve those goals. They try the latest fad diet or exercise and often end up depleting their mental and physical energy.
This usually results in quitting altogether or achieving those goals and not sticking with them, eventually leading to burnout, failure, or injury. Therefore, I suggest that you abandon very unrealistic goals and strive to change your lifestyle.
When you start treating health and fitness as a lifestyle instead of a hobby or 30-day challenge, you develop behaviors that will improve many areas of your life.
A healthy lifestyle can inspire creativity and teach you discipline, adaptability, and balance. Not only will this make you look and feel better, but it will show you as the best version of yourself to the people you really care about.
